I'm currently in my second year of university studying Zoology and I am hoping to graduate with a first in 2013. Since a young age I have loved animals but it wasn't until 3 years ago I was able to keep any. My collection now involves 8 lizards, 2 cats and a tropical fish tank. Whilst studying at college I volunteered at the local pet shop and here I gained valuable knowledge and experience in not only the business side of the job, but animal health, welfare and handling also
Responsible for animal welfare, care and health checks
Cleaning out all animals and fish
Giving advice about animals to customers
Stock rotation and answering the telephone
Recommending films and games to customers
Upselling, stock rotation, price changes, call list and serving customers
Keeping the shopfloor and till areas clean
