My focus is on ethical techniques such as zero-waste, using fairtrade/ organic/natural resources.
Exploring a project need with the resources available is what I do best.
For 'RISE' Exhibitions part 1 & 2: Selecting artists and designers, marketing invitations and design, social networking publicity, curating exhibition, running Private View design and organising, assistant manager of gallery.
Simultaneously, I ran Oooo! Boutique pop-up shop in the front of the gallery for a few months.
I visited Uruguay to look after my grandmother. I was fortunate enough that we had a family contact from don Baez and so during my stay, I was able to intern for a few days per week, helping with design, styling, window dressing and translation.
Designed and created Hand Knitted jumper-dress.
Translated illustration and print design into knitted textile. Re-created themes within the collection in the garment. Created knitwear spec and measurements. Hand knitted intarsia of 7 gradient colours. Use of various gauges of hand knit. Final construction and finishes.
Duties include marking, operating industrial sewing machines and die-cut machines, using fastening tools, soldering, leather-working, receptions/PA duties.
Heidi Leung won a place in the Fashion Fringe 2011 competition. My main role was to embroider panels using Mountmellick hand embroidery technique which is white embroidery on white fabric. Other roles included assisting with the catwalk show, dressing models and offering support to others.

I started as a Research and Development Intern then progressed on to a part time PA to the Directors. My work involved databases, design, financial spread sheets, stockroom, online business accounts management, distributing stock, company representative, customer correspondance.
Chiswick Holiday courses has become a second home for me and the team is one huge extended family.
I have worked there every summer for so many years that I have seen the children grow up to become great young people. I enjoy working with the children, seeing them learn and create and most importantly have fun!

6 month internship part time assisting in the design of AW11 knitted garments and accessories. Duties including fashion spec creation/ editing and other photoshop work, swatching knitted samples, grading, visual feedback for knitwear, deliveries, showroom duties... Great people and a fantastic company to work for!
I enjoy this fast paced atmosphere and the companies interesting designs. I was with the company for almost two years and I am very grateful to have worked with some lovely and talented people.
I produced a knitted top in thick cream wool with a silver foil effect over. The garment was hand knitted, foiled and linked together in 2 days. I was given the opportunity via my colleague and friend Elena Munoz. It was shown on the Vogue and LFW websites.
For Nicomede's AW 2010 collection, I knitted a bag from cut leather cord. The bag included the main body and strap and was accesorised later on. It is currently featured in the 10th photograph on his website.
I was doing work experience with Reem for London Fashion Weekend and a sample sale the following week.
I worked here for just over a year at Selfridges & Liberty's. This gae me great experience within luxury retail and bed linen. I also took a keen interest in their textile design.
I collaborated with Sara Palacios Goerger on her MA Design degree show project. It was based on the concept of creating a product for a person which demonstarted their personality through their lifestyle, hobbies and memories. The person Sara chose was her close friend Isabella, a leather accessories designer. We explored visual design through colours and textiles that she liked emphasising the tactile features of various yarns and fabrics. The chosen product was a bag and so we explored the objects and products that Isabella used everday to personalise it further. The Final piece and project was titled 'InsideIn' which expresses the individuals personality through the interior of the bag.
I would help customers on a one to one basis providing personal shopping services including bra fitting, gift buying, maternity wear and Debenhams Card services.
I had a small studio at Cor Blimey Arts and shared it with fellow artist Chantelle Purcell.
I would assist the Printer with the administration, sales, stock and delivery. It could sometimes be a very hands-on role when taking a print!
I would greet clients and guests on arrival, answer the switchboard telephone as well as some mailroom duties. I also had a hand in organising and filing various materials swatches in the fabrics library.
