How many sessions with a Life Coach will I need?

You can have as many or as few life coaching sessions as you like. Many life coaches operate over the phone or via the Internet so the sessions can easily fit around your schedule. Some people hire a life coach once every few months, some people have a session once a week.

What happens during a Life Coaching session?

Life coaching sessions will typically last up to an hour. Often after an initial assessment, sessions can be conducted over the phone, face to face, over email, via Skype/Zoom and occasionally through instant messaging.

What is the difference between Life Coaching and Therapy?

Life coaching is focused on your present and your future. Coaching accepts your current reality and looks to improve your outcome moving forward. Life coaches are not health professionals and they do not diagnose you. By contrast, therapy focuses on your past and looks to delve into past actions and patterns. It is analytical but not action-oriented.

Does insurance pay for a Life Coach?

Most mainstream health insurance providers do not cover the costs of life coaching because it is not considered a mental health profession in the same way therapists and counsellors are because life coaches are not state-regulated.

Can I find Life Coaching online on Bark?

Absolutely! It's easy to connect with trusted online life coaching specialists on Bark. Just tell us what you need and we'll connect you with professionals ready and waiting to provide their services remotely.

Like face-face life coaching, an online life coach can help you to define your goals, understand your motivations and build a plan to achieve your dreams. The only difference being that your coaching sessions will be done via Zoom, Skype or over the phone! It’s an ideal option for anyone with a particularly hectic schedule or accessibility issues.

Online life coaching classes mean you can get the most out of your personal or business life, giving you the motivation you need to advance your career or begin your own business from the comfort of your own home!

Whether you’re struggling with low self-esteem or you just don’t know what to do with your life, taking that step to find online life coaching may be exactly what you need to find your direction and follow your dreams.

What should I look for in a Life Coach?

Life coaches do not need to have any formal or academic qualifications but you may want to look for life coaches who possess an industry-specific qualification such as the Life Coaching Diploma or Personal Performance Diploma (PPD).

What does a Life Coach do for you?

A life coach is a trained professional who aims to help and guide individuals to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. They support clients on a journey to rediscover their own strength and abilities. This can include excelling in the workplace, becoming happy and fulfilled at home, exploring your potential, managing health conditions and achieving life ambitions.

By harnessing techniques based on core psychological principles and intuition, life coaches empower clients and provide a toolkit of teachings to confidently face difficult challenges and overcome emotional barriers. Think of a life coach as your personal coach, cheering you on and giving you motivation whilst holding you accountable.

Life coaches can specialise in one area of coaching which includes: career coaching, executive business, group coaching, health and wellbeing, performance management, personal development, relationships, retirement, spiritual and youth coaching.

When you find a life coach who you can really connect with, you’ll unlock potential you never knew you had. Life coaches can help you to set realistic and achievable goals and remove any obstacles that are in your way. They will help you to make the most of your strengths and give you the support you need to make lasting changes to your life.

How do I find the right Life Coach?

Rapport is one of the most important parts of life coaching. If you feel uncomfortable with your professional, you are unlikely to gain much from the session. It is advisable to get in contact before you book a session to meet your life coach so you can gauge how comfortable you are in their presence. It is worth talking to a few potential life coaches and ask questions.

How much does a Life Coach cost?

On average, a Life Coach will charge around £50 per session. Although, this is variable depending on different factors, such as your location and the experience of the Life Coach.

If you’re ready to find Life Coaching near you but need a clear idea of the price, read our handy Life Coach price guide. You’ll find out just how much your Life Coach will charge per session and what Life Coaching services typically include.

Gareth Penrhyn - Mindset and Life Coach

As a coach I work both holistically and practically with people and help them get out of their own way, emotionally grow and gain more clarity and fulfilment in their lives. I help people to help themselves. Helping people to gain a new perspective and set a solid foundation to make real sustainable change. This all begins with proving a safe space to share, meeting someone where they are emotionally and taking it from there. I deliver sessions both in person (within the distance radius) and online.

What do you love most about your job?

I love being part of the experience of helping people to explore themselves, help themselves and ultimately make long term change. I am extremely passionate about helping to make a real difference in peoples lives.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My own journey of wanting to work with a coach to firstly help with me and gain that experience first before becoming a coach and for me it is very challenging to give yourself a new perspective on your own.
I wanted to create a business where I could really help make an impact in peoples lives by helping them to become more enlightened with their thoughts, feelings, decisions, actions and behaviours.

Why should our clients choose you?

I work with clients on both a holistic and practical level. I provide a safe space where people feel they can share and be met back with empathy (rather than judgement) and each session I meet them where they are emotionally so we go at pace that suits them where they are now.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I provide services both in person (within distance) and online. In person I meet clients in and around the Crawley area and can travel as far as into central London.
Online I conduct sessions via zoom.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

With any sessions in person I agree with the client the location in advance to make sure they are comfortable. We have social distance and if the client wants face masks worn by us both that is absolutely fine.
Online sessions are always a great option for both circumstances with Covid-19 and if it’s not practical due to distance.

David is one of the best and has helped me see the positives in taking the small steps to achieve my goals. He goes that extra mile to make sure you are getting the most out of each session and tailors it to your needs. An absolute gentleman and can't wait to see where our journey takes us.
