My name is Liga Mironova. I came to Northern Ireland five years ago and I have been studying art since then. I began my studies in the interior decor course at Southern Regional College-Newry campus in City & Guilds. My instructor recognized my talent right away and encouraged me to undertake a Foundation course in art and design. I have had a passion for art since I was a child. I remember looking through pictures books when I was young and joyfully painting pictures of mountains. I eagerly entered art competitions as a child and my favorite classes were always in the arts. I love newness: I like to meet new people, I like to experi- ment with new art. Every day I learn something new, not only in art, but also in life. Recently I have turned more to photography, where I can experiment with exposures, lighting and contrast. I also love to experiment with print making, I use different materials to produce my prints.
