I also managed the social media presence for "The Velvet Mouse Show," an animated transmedia property, and acted as Web Manager and lead developer for Retroland.com and Childhoodtweets.com, and advised on social and new media issues.
Retroland.com
Web Manager (October 2009 - June 2010)
Retroland.com provides community, affinity and loads of content to satisfy your love affair with our mutual pop culture history. As Web Manager, I conceived, designed and developed the newest iteration of the site as well as directed the content manager. I also oversaw a passionate forum of over 8,000 members while driving new visitors and building awareness for the site.
Mahalo.com Inc.
Community Manager / Product Evangelist (April 2007 - October 2008)
I helped design and manage the Mahalo Greenhouse, a world-wide pool of over three thousand remote contract freelancers in the Mahalo Greenhouse. In this capacity, I conceived policies, wrote documentation and provided real-time assistance to our remote freelance workers.
Additionally, I provided a user's perspective on the features, products and culture of the human-curated search website. I also educated the public about Mahalo.com through social, new and traditional media as well as public speaking engagements.
I contributed directly to the vision and direction of Mahalo.com in daily collaboration with the CEO and Editorial Director. I also monitored and engaged the social media space for activity relevant to curated search.
