There are currently no guidelines in place stipulating the training and qualifications a hypnotherapist must have in order to practice. What do you love most about your job?

I love helping women find relief from mental and emotional pain, when they feel there is no way through. I love to show them how strong and amazing they are and that they have my support. Women hold the sky up, and sometimes we need reminding how amazing and capable we are! Giving my clients the tools to find freedom from emotional blocks, pain, anxiety, destructive thinking and habits and to show them how to feel safe and strong within themselves is the best job in the world.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have always wanted to work on my own terms and from a place of integrity and authenticity. Running my own practice ensures that my clients receive the best of me, without compromise. I have been working with women and helping remove limiting beliefs and blocks to help them find confidence and increase self esteem for more than 20 years as a vocal and confidence coach. My skills as a Hypnotherapist and Transformational Coach help me get to the root of blocks preventing confidence and self esteem, and replace them with new building blocks for improved and lasting self respect and love.

I contacted John at a moment in my life where a lot of things were in freefall, professionally, emotionally and mentally. I had tried conventional therapy and anti-depressants on and off over the years with middling results and wanted something that would address my issues at the root. I was quite dubious of the concept of hypnosis, even more so in the realm of therapy, but nonetheless I wanted to try and see if I could be helped. John initially reached out for an introduction call and after some time, a plan was made for a session focusing on my deep-rooted anxiety. Something that has hounded me most of my adult life, and has presented and manifested in depression, low self-esteem, alcoholism and other toxic traits that have become extremely difficult to live with. During the session, John gently but expertly guided me through trauma and hardship and created a space where I felt safe enough to share and work through deep issues that I had. After the session (more than 3 hours) I recall feeling a sense of lightness. Like I had quite literally banished all these things from me, leaving a kinder and more whole person. I feel more confident, more focused and more committed to becoming a better person both emotionally and mentally and can’t thank John enough for his work. Highly recommend.

I have tried many different forms of therapy and worked with many different therapists to try and get help for my anxiety and emetophobia, and no one has been able to help as much as John has. My quality of life is ten times better since I completed my first round of treatment with John, I am so unbelievably happy I made the decision to reach out to him. I was very apprehensive about how successful the hypnosis would be, and must admit I found some of the therapy daunting. John was so kind and supportive every step of the way, and has continued to check in on me for weeks after. The way I feel now compared to how I felt before I had this treatment, has made me believe that it is possible for me to one day be totally free of anxiety and phobias, and not just find coping mechanisms to get through the day. John gave so much in my sessions, and helped me to understand events and thought patterns that have been holding me back. In doing so I have found a new freedom, I had given up hope of finding. The treatment was rapid and intense but certainly transformational.
