My work has a strong sense of design, with my images being graphic in style and prefer to use symbols and metaphors instead of the literal. I enjoy using traditional techniques such as the mono print process, inks and paint whilst also embracing new digital technologies. Typography is also a major influence in my work. I am intrigued by the way type can evoke a sense of time, place, and mood and my keen interest in it can be seen in most of my portfolio. I have a strong feel for textures and colour and these are used in an attempt to capture an atmosphere or a feeling. Ultimately I feel it's all about how you best communicate the message.
