Timetable & Data Manager (November 2012 - Present)

Under the direction of the academy Business and Finance Director, and in close liaison with the Vice Principal to continue the development and implementation of a proactive timetable, ensuring optimal use of all school resources in support of learning and teaching within the school including the provision of timely information regarding staffing implications. To further develop and refine existing data assessment systems, ensuring accurate, relevant monitoring information supporting teacher assessment and student achievement, in line with the School Assessment Policy, and to analyse and advise Leadership Team and Governors on emerging issues. Identify new legislative requirements that may have timetable implications. To provide support to the Examinations Officer in the provision of efficient and effective implementation and analysis of all examinations including external, internal and online tests for Y7 to Y13 students and primary school students. The role is currently based at Aston Academy but may extend subject to the development of the trust.

Curriculum & Data Manager (June 2008 - Present)

Preparation of the school timetable using SIMS, NOVA T6/T4 & OPTIONS software applications and working to curriculum costing and design as directed by SLT.
Daily programming of: SIMS, ASESSMENT MANAGER, EXAMS ORGANISER, CURRICULUM MANAGER. Microsoft EXCEL, WORD & POWERPOINT.
Input and publication of staff and student timetables (using curriculum Manager).
Maintain the school & sixth form timetable by ensuring that amendments are continuously up to date.
Liaison with cover/absence manager regarding timetable issues.
Liaison with curriculum team leaders regarding student groupings and departmental timetable design, and to oversee the accurate and timely input of such data.
Maintaining an accurate register of each student at KS3 and KS4 and the external examination for which they will be entered and their minimum school (based on prior achievement and FFT estimates). Monitoring attainment and providing analysis of student progress and achievement, using Assessment Manager to support SLT, Progress leaders, Faculty Co-ordinators and departmental staff.
Developing and keeping up to date intervention lists.
Monitoring the attainment of key groups of students via sims.net (e.g. SEN, Gifted and Talented, EAL, Looked after students, boys, girls, ethnicity).
Providing up to date and accurate information to CLT, Progress Leaders, Faculty Co-ordinators and relevant staff, each term for each year group as directed.
Setting future targets, with governors, SLT and relevant staff.
Production of the School Census & Workforce Census.
Attendance reporting to the LEA & SLT.

MIS Officer (December 2007 - June)

Management on a day to day basis of the collection, storage and distribution of electronic data.
Housekeeping of the above database (Capita - ONE) to ensure all data is clean and available to other users
Provide telephone helpdesk advice relating to the School Management Information Systems (Sims.net) in the Children & Young People’s Directorate (CYPD), occasional on-site visits.
Maintain the MIS Team call-logging database and other record-keeping systems
